1. What this policy covers
This policy explains what information Party of One Org Inc. collects through our Site and our App, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Site and App collect different information, so this policy is organized by product.
2. Information we collect on the Site
Newsletter signup. If you subscribe, we collect your email address (and name, if provided) so we can send you updates. Every email will include an unsubscribe link. We use WPForms with Mailchimp to collect and manage our mailing list.
Donations. Donations are processed by PayPal. We receive your name, email, donation amount, and transaction details necessary for receipts and legal compliance. We never see or store your full card or bank details — those are handled entirely by PayPal, subject to PayPal’s own privacy policy. Donation records are retained as required by law for nonprofit accounting.
Contact form. If you write to us, we collect your name, email, and message so we can respond.
Analytics & cookies. We use Google Analytics to understand Site traffic (pages visited, approximate location, device type). This uses cookies. You can decline cookies via your browser settings or opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We do not use advertising pixels to build profiles of you.
3. Information we collect in the App
Account & verification. Your mobile phone number and email address, used to verify that each account belongs to one real person via one-time codes.
Civic profile. A display name (a pseudonym is fine), zip code, and optionally city/state — used to show you your electoral districts and representatives. We never collect precise GPS location.
Ratings & priorities. The satisfaction ratings and issue priorities you submit.
What’s public vs. private in the App: your individual ratings and identity are never published. Only aggregate, anonymized statistics (average scores, priority rankings, rater counts) appear publicly in features like the Citizen Satisfaction Index, the People’s Mandate, and the Representative Scorecard.
4. How we use information
To operate the Site and App; to verify one-account-per-person; to show you your representatives; to compute anonymized aggregates; to process donations and send receipts; to respond to messages; to send newsletters you asked for; and to keep our services secure.
5. What we do NOT do
We do not sell personal information. We do not run third-party advertising. We do not share individual ratings, donations, or contact details with campaigns, parties, or representatives. We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

We share data only with processors that operate our services:

7. Retention & deletion
Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Donation records are kept as required by law. App account data is kept while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and personal information at any time by emailing [email protected], and we will complete the deletion within 30 days. Published aggregates contain no identifying information and are unaffected.
8. Children
Neither the Site nor the App is directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted. App data is protected by row-level security.
10. Your rights
Depending on your state, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information. Contact [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
11. Changes & contact
Updates will be posted at this URL with a revised date. Material changes to App data practices will also be announced in the App.
